Blue Start Incubator
Blue Start is Vibrant Blue's incubator for experienced professionals stepping into independent consulting. VB is not a staffing agency, a franchise, or a corporate umbrella, but we will provide exposure to VB clients seeking the type of individual that the Blue Start program is designed for. It's also the structure and support I wish existed when I made the leap myself, built so you can go independent without doing it completely alone. Where your practice goes from there, whether that's serving Vibrant Blue's own clients, small businesses, or a path you build entirely on your own, is up to you.

You've built real expertise and are ready to apply it on your own terms rather than inside someone else's org chart.
The idea of independent consulting is appealing, but the practical mechanics of doing it alone feel like the real barrier.
You take how you show up, and how it reflects on the people you work with, seriously.
You're not looking to be handed work indefinitely. You want to build something that's genuinely yours.
Energy and infrastructure, PMO, technology, or operations are where Vibrant Blue started, but I'm open to any skillset.
You're in a career transition and want more control over how, when, and with whom you work.
I started Vibrant Blue in 2018 as a side venture while I was still working full time. I knew I eventually wanted to consult independently, but I did not have a model for what that looked like in practice, so I built one as I went: the contracts, the professional infrastructure, the parts of running an independent practice that have nothing to do with your actual expertise but determine whether you can sustain it.
The transition from employee to independent consultant is manageable when you are not doing it completely alone.
If you're an experienced professional who's curious about independent consulting and what the Blue Start framework might offer, a conversation is the right first step.
